The Montour School District is remaking learning this summer for over 230 enthusiastic elementary students. The 2017 Annual Summer STEAM Camp at Montour, a Nation of Makers official event for the National Week of Making, provided students opportunities to explore various STEAM fields in a fun and engaging environment outside the typical school setting.

The camp was organized by Jason Burik, Montour Elementary School Principal, in collaboration with over a dozen of Montour teachers, offered exciting courses that are relevant academic coursework to ignite excitement and engagement in STEAM fields. Jason Burik believes that STEAM challenges students to learn and apply content and skills with fun, real-life projects.

- Coding, Math Art, Foods, Lego Building, It’s Electric!, Digital Graphic Design, Hummingbird Robotics, Jewelry Making, Minecraft, Roller Coaster and Bridge Building, and more!
