Western PA EdTechTeam GAFE Summit 2016 – Google Apps for Education

By Catherine Noel, 6th Grade Teacher at David E. Williams Middle School

The start of this new school year has been an exciting one for me. I had the privilege of attending the GAFE Summit, which was held at the Montour High School in June.

It was one of the best educational resource venues I have ever attended. Resources included support for creative student presentations, reading resources, English language arts resources, Google + Notifications, Google Classroom, as well as many Chrome Extensions and Apps.

Some of the Apps that I would like to become more familiar with are the JoeZoo, IVocab, Doctopus, and Lingualy. All of these are great tools to help students with their reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
