Montour has SOLE!

Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) is a place where children can work in small groups, use the internet to investigate, and share out what they have learned. The term SOLE was popularized by Dr. Sugata Mitra.  In 1999, Mitra’s pioneering “Hole in the Wall” experiments helped bring the potential of self-organized learning to the public’s attention.  In 2013, he was given the $1,000,000 TED Prize in recognition of his work and to help build a School in the Cloud.

Through the assistance of Dr. Jeffrey McClellan, founder of SOLE CLE, several Montour teachers have been experimenting with SOLE in the their classrooms.
